The adventure begins early in the morning with a departure from Kampala at 6:30 AM, heading northwest towards Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, there is a stop at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild. Here, you will embark on a guided trek to observe these magnificent creatures up close. After this exciting experience, the journey continues towards the national park, with scenic views of rural landscapes along the way.

Upon arrival at Murchison Falls National Park, you will check in at your lodge and enjoy a hearty lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the Top of Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River forces its way through a narrow 7-meter gorge, creating one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world. Witness the thunderous roar of the water and feel the refreshing mist as you take in the panoramic views. Afterward, you will return to the lodge, where you can relax and unwind before enjoying a delicious dinner.

The day starts with an early morning game drive in the park’s northern sector, an area known for its diverse wildlife. As the sun rises over the savannah, you will have the opportunity to spot lions, elephants, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and warthogs roaming freely. The Buligi Game Tracks offer breathtaking views of the open plains, providing excellent opportunities for wildlife photography. After an exciting morning on safari, you will return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a scenic boat cruise along the River Nile, a highlight of the trip. The cruise takes you to the base of Murchison Falls, offering incredible views of the cascading water. Along the way, you will encounter hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, including the rare shoebill stork. For the adventurous, there is an optional hike to the top of the falls, where you can marvel at the Nile’s immense power from a different perspective. As the sun sets, you will return to the lodge for another relaxing evening and a delightful dinner.

After an early breakfast, the final adventure of the trip begins with a boat ride to the Nile Delta, where the river meets Lake Albert. This region is a paradise for birdwatchers, with the chance to spot the elusive shoebill stork and many other waterbirds. The tranquil setting of the delta provides a peaceful contrast to the roaring falls experienced earlier in the trip.

Following the boat ride, you will check out of the lodge and begin the journey back to Kampala. The return drive offers one last chance to enjoy the stunning landscapes of Uganda’s countryside. You will arrive in Kampala in the evening, marking the end of an unforgettable 3-day safari experience.
