The 5-day safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park is a real deal since you will explore the best of this park by taking part in different activities like game drives, boat cruises, lion tracking and chimpanzee tracking. There will be an option of a community walk where you get to learn about one of the unique African cultures.
Queen Elizabeth is the most visited national park in Uganda due to abundant wildlife such as elephants, buffalos, warthogs, leopards, hyenas, Uganda kobs, hippos, crocodiles and other birds like vultures, ibis, pelicans, hamerkops, fish eagles, kingfishers, Egrets and more. The safari is accompanied by scenic views of Rwenzori mountain ranges, tea plantations, endless savannah plains and more.
The driver guide will pick you up from the agreed point and immediately transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park the most visited Park in Uganda. The journey is through rolling hills, the scenic countryside of the tea plantation and, the Rwenzori mountain ranges while in Fort Portal. Lunch will be served at one of the local restaurants to enjoy local food like matoke, g.nuts and more. Arrive at the lodge, check in and prepare for the next day’s adventure.
Have a morning game drive that will introduce you to early raisers such as hyenas, lions, leopards, jackals and others like elephants, warthogs, buffalos, Uganda kobs and bushbucks. The game drive will last for about 3 hours then lunch break which will be followed by an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel to watch different birds like African skimmers, Black bee-eaters, Black Crake, Knob-billed Duck, Egyptian Goose and more animals like crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffalos, warthogs and more.
A cup of either tea or coffee will be served followed by a drive to the Ishasha sector which is known to be home to the rare tree-climbing lions. Trekking will last for about 3 hours as you enjoy these lions hunting, resting in cactus trees after feeding and more. Other animals that can be spotted are elephants, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, warthogs and more. After the trek, head back to the lodge for your dinner and night stay.
Wake up on breakfast and then head to Kyambura Gorge for briefing and chimpanzee tracking experience. The gorge is a valley occupied by a forest and rivers where the chimps call it a home. After knowing the rules and regulations, crosschecking the trekking permits, proper dress code and more.
The experience will begin with the guidance of the park guide and you will spot different monkeys like vervet monkeys, Grey checked mangabeys, red-tailed monkeys and many more others. Spending an hour with chimps is a real-time experience as you capture memories of photos and videos.
Chimps are interesting creatures since they keep you entertained as they play, search for food and many more. Have an optional activity such as a Community walk to learn about one of the unique African cultures.
The driver guide will take you back to Kampala using a different route that passes via the Fort portal. This journey is scenic with a breathtaking landscape cape covered with Rwenzori ranges, banana plantations, tea estates and many more. The safari will end after a Drop-off at the airport in Entebbe.
