Our assigned driver guide will pick you up from the airport and he will take you through a briefing about this great tour to Volcanoes National Park for gorilla golden monkey trekking. Have a 3-hour scenic drive to the park. Volcanoes National Park is one of few protected areas located in the Virunga Mountains that is known as a home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Arrive and head to the lodge for a leisurely evening.

Have breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for a briefing exercise that covers different items like proper dress code, essentials for trekking, and the guidelines to follow while in the wild such as feeding wild animals is not allowed, don’t mimic, keep a distance of about 8m from the gorillas, don’t use flash light while taking photos and more, assignment of the park ranger guide and the Gorilla family.

The search will begin as you penetrate the forest while hiking since these beautiful creatures are found in the mountains. On meeting the gorillas, have a great time taking photos, and recording memories and this will create memories of a lifetime. While on this trail meet other creatures such as olive baboons, vervet monkeys, birds and more. The overall trekking takes about 3 to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Head back to the lodge for your lunch and leisure evening.

Like the previous day, wake up and be served breakfast followed by a drive to the park offices where you will encounter a briefing about this morning’s golden monkey trekking. Among the dos and don’ts, be emphasized to use a flashlight camera since these primates tend to draw close as they enjoy the light.

Begin the search with the guidance of the park ranger in the forest with high chances of meeting the gorillas, vervet monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, elephants, bushbucks and more. The golden monkeys can be located in the bamboo forest and are so playful, as others can be feeding on the leaves allowing you to spend an hour witnessing their behaviors as you record memories of adventure.

After, head back to the lodge for a lunch break followed by visiting the Iby’Iwacu Cultural village for a cultural immersion. This includes storytelling, participating in traditional music and dances, tasting traditional meals and more. Head back to the lodge for a night’s stay after dinner.

Head to Lake Kivu on the border of DR Congo and this is the largest water body in Rwanda known for its Beauty and different activities such as kayaking, bird watching, boat cruising, Hiking, coffee and tea garden tours. Spending a day here will create everlasting memories as you participate in different activities of your choice or decide to spend a day relaxing at the resort beach.

The driver guide will take you back to Kigali city after breakfast and this will create everlasting memories as you keep enjoying the scenic view comprised of different hills. Have an optional city tour where you visit places like local markets, memorial centers, art and gallery centers and more. After, head to the airport for your departure flight hence the end of the tour.
